Default How many countries have you been to?

Personally, I've been to:

United States
Canada
France
Japan
South Korea
China
Thailand
Malaysia
Singapore
Brunei

Sometime in the next 12 months I will be visiting Taiwan, Australia (perhaps New Zealand), and several other Western European countries.

France
Spain
Italy (very briefly)
Monaco
Germany
Swizerland
Liecthenstein
Austria
Czeck Republic
Russia
Armenia
Georgia
Azerbaijan (but for these 3, it was still USSR at this time)
Belgium
Netherlands
Great Britain (England +Scotland) +Jersey Island
Norway
Sweden
Syria
India
Bangla Desh
Singapore
Australia
South Africa
Canada
USA
Venezuela
Dominique
Mauritius

Which makes 30 (and all continents) if I made no mistake. I stay in the upper category even if I count one only for USSR.

I can't match Claudia's tally, but I've been to a few countries.

Not counting Australia, where I live, and not counting airport stopovers, I've been to:
Germany
Austria
Switzerland
Denmark
Holland
United Kingdom
Spain (Canary Islands actually)
Ireland
Italy
Bulgaria
Greece
Turkey
Egypt
United States
Thailand
Japan
South Korea

Total: 17

7 for me, and at least a few times to most.

Papua New Guinea(once)
Indonesia(3 times)
Singapore(6 times)
Malaysia(8 times)
India(once)
Thailand(twice)
Hong Kong(3 times)- not actually a "country" in itself, but still a foreign place. This was before the handover to China.

25 for me, just one short of the last category. There's an incentive for me to try and go somewhere new for my next holiday.
My list:

USA
UK
Ireland
France
Spain
Italy
Netherlands
Belgium
Germany
Switzerland
Austria
Czech Republic
Romania
Egypt
Tanzania
Australia
New Zealand
Nepal
Singapore
Malaysia
Thailand
Vietnam
Cambodia
Laos
Hong Kong

Would love to get to South America some day (Peru or Chile preferably), so that like Claudia I'll have visited six continents.

Well, born and raised in the USA, so I'm not counting it, since this is where I live.

I put 2: Canada and the Bahamas (honeymoon).

I might have put in for overseas tours when I joined the military had I not been very serious with the woman who is now my wife. OTOH, I've been to every state east of the Mississippi with the lone exception of Maine. I've also been to Texas, which according to some older PR ads, "... is like a whole other country!" So, does that count? Farthest west I've been is Colorado (a bit west of Denver).

Darn, I really need to get out more.

I feel like I've been to a million places in the US and in China, but I don't really go outside these two countries much.

Oh, and by the way, if Hong Kong counts as a country, then I've been to 11.
