Making large bucks is what these charecters do best. They are no more than multi-million dollar panhandlers.

Uh, wouldn't this thread fit a little better in RRP?

I might point out that the salary and benefits that the article pointed would not include another source of income for Ham: royalties from all his books.

How about detention at Guantanamo bay?

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I guess we should not make fun of him too much. After all he does come from a distinquished family: the first American into space was a Ham!

Y'know, it's times like this that I wonder why I don't become the first athiest creation scientists.

I've got nothing against selling my credibility for the right price.

and to top it off, I wouldn't even need relevant or legitimate degrees.

all I'd need to do was be oohed and aahed over on camera by a bunch of religious people, and write a few Books of Bollocks.

too easy.

Hahaha! Good one!

I remember Ham's flight, and some years later I saw him (the chimp, not the preacher) at the National Zoo in DC. I think it was in 1964.

He seemed like a perfectly reasonable simian to me, so perhaps the comparison is a little unfair, physical similarties not withstanding.

But a good one none the less! Made me chortle, it did.

Moving away from good natured humor about Ham's name and his resemblance to an ape...

From the article, I picked up the name Guidestar which naturally led me to a quick guess of <a href="http://www.guidestar.com." target="_blank">www.guidestar.com.</a> From their I found AiG's entry <a href="http://nohttp://www.guidestar.org/search/report/financial.jsp?npoId=96473" target="_blank">here</a>.

Edited to kill link to entry. I did not realize that was against the rules to post links to specific entries.

Compare with the <a href="http://www.ncseweb.org" target="_blank">National Center for Science Education</a> whose entry is <a href="http://nohttp://www.guidestar.org/search/report/gs_report.jsp?npoId=672016" target="_blank">here</a>. I think that bad guys are seriously out gunning the heros. :-(

Okay, who here has not joined the NCSE yet?

Again edited to remove GuideStar link. Folks you will just have to search <a href="http://www.guidestar.com" target="_blank">www.guidestar.com</a> -- sorry.

More creationist GuideStar entries:

List of entries deleted.

Does it surprise anyone that Kent Hovind's organization is not even listed?
