Rob

Not to discourage you but the average time to recurrence after a first Bipolar episode is 3-5 years.

I made it 4 years from the start of my first episode; I was off medication for almost 4 years...but, about 4 years and 5 months from the onset of the first episode there I was, manic enough, plus epileptic symptoms this time (evidently) to panic my psychiatrist into wanting me immediately medicated.

However, I do believe that depression and the like don't always recur and I hope that turns out to be true for you!

love
Helen

Have I once said that Helen shouldn't seek medical advice for her clinical depression? Of course, I haven't.

Our God-given curiosities have led to great advances in medical science, which has enabled countless numbers of people to be healed by God via physicians.

Many of you seem to assume the worst from me. Why?
