I have about 8-10 CDs that have some light scratches on them. Computer game CDs, and the scratches are light enough that the computer reads that the CD is in there, but are also deep enough that it will prevent me from installing a few of my games... Would buying one of these skip doctors be a good way to save myself some money, as opposed to buying the games new again?

Absolutely. You don't even need to get a fancy automated one. Even the lowliest manual DVD/CD repair kit should do the trick.
Note that there are some scratches that simply can not be repaired. If the scratch goes clean through to the label, toss that disc away. Otherwise, have at it. A little patience and a little elbow grease can fix almost any disc. Jeff |

Buy it. They rule. Plus the replacment resurfacing discs are cheap, like 8 dollars for two of them. I payed 30 bucks for mine and then went home and fixed 7 cd's in about a half hour. The thing pays for itself literally.
