Just out of curiosity, I checked the site for the different Meetups here in my hometown. Interestingly, Witches are the #1 category. Atheists are #24! That's way ahead of Born Again Xians, who are #56.

Numbers 2 and 3 are Dean in 2004 and Newly Single.

Well, I just joined the Edmonton one, but it said there weren't enough who can make it, so this month's meetup has been cancelled.

Hmmm, it lists us there as having 16. But when I go to the Rochester Atheists members page, it only shows 13....

i was on the list ... waiting...cancell...waiting ...cancell...waiting...cancell ...
finally a it looked like a real Meet Up was going to happen...
Everything was a Go.
i showed up at the appointed time, appointed place...in the heart of LA on Sunset Blvd...
No one showed...in fact the people running the restaurant had no idea ...they were clueless

So i think Meet Up has a long way to go ...

i told the Meet up people ......ooooo they were all apologetic 'n stuff they don't know what happened ... Whatever

At least i have a major edifice with all the trimmings to go hang with... Center For Inquiry-West ... HdQ for Atheists United, Skeptics, and all kinds of social stuff ... next week is Atheists United chili cook off.. on the 22nd ...the 21st is a Huge all day function with all kinds of speakers 'n entertainment .

Hey! You're right! That's strange, makes you wonder what the discrepancy is. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I'll be there again this time. I'm looking forward to it.

Read something interesting on that site today, but I'm gonna start a thread about it over in GRD (I think it's the best spot for it, but they'll move it if not).
