You should try a calmer, more sedate life. You'll live longer, and you won't get into as much trouble. :hops into the '75 Bricklin to go for a ride, let's hope the tuneup solved the oil leak for good this time: |

Ugh, summer... We've had over 20 C for over a week up here, and I work in the sun for eight hours every day, when I come home, I crawl down into the basement and lie there until I can move without considering suicide. Oh, how I hate the sun. The only good thing about the summer is 24 hours of light. More specifically, indirect light, at night. (It really screws up your impression of time.)

I lived in southern Indiana for a number of years. The weather sucked. Winter was three months of grey skies and freezing rain. Summer was May to Sept. and beastly hot and humid. Stepping outside was like walking into someone's lung. People that complain about the heat need to move further north to where the summers are enjoyable. A partly cloudy day with a high around 78 and night temps in the low 60s.... perfect. Although, now that I have a garden up and running, I'd like a couple more months of growing season. |

I know that my girlfriend isn't much for direct sunlight (she burns easily, so she tries to keep a nice creamy/pasty complexion ![]() ...or in a shower... ![]() I'm not complaining. ![]() That said, I like days that are partly cloudycloud formations put me in a good mood. I hate overcast without rain, though. I REALLY like those weird days when it's raining hard, but you can still see blue skies past the nimbus... ...but anyway, I need good weather every now and then, both because I like the feel of sun on my skin and because I rock climb. Sue me. ![]() |

I'm not much in favor of sun, but if there's one thing I deeply hate, it's having snot frozen to the inside of my nose while dirty slush leaks down the inside of my shoes. And since that's the default condition of an Ithacan in winter.... I guess I prefer summer.
Also, summer is your best season for thunderstorms. Can't reanimate dead flesh without a good thunderstorm. the.villainess (has air-conditioning at work.) |

Hola!
I hate summer. Hate it to death. I come from Memphis, Tennessee and the weather where I live in China is exactly the same, very hot and humid. Cannot go outside, running the AC constantly. Not to mention the mosquitoes and other bugs. I lived in an apartment area last year in China. They had a swimming pool. I used to get in it about every day. On September 1st (ONE) they shut the pool down for the year! September here is a summer month, the whole month. I LOVE fall. I adore it. October is my favorite month. Summer is gone, it is nice and cool outside, I can wear my sweaters and it is wonderful. There is football, and my favorite holiday Halloween is in the fall. Pretty much October 1 to January 1 is my favorite time of the year. Sweating Senor |
