Here's the latest anti-secularist ltte published in the newspaper:
Link Personally, I'm feeling like there is more and more antagonism to nonbelievers/secularists/etc. in the South (the whole country, even) every day. I wish I could get out of here. I'm rather fed up with the right-wing jingoistic fundies around here. Is there anywhere else in this country that isn't so damn hostile, like a nice liberal town or something. Maybe another country. Any help would be appreciated. (Just making the link code work. -Rimstalker) |

Shadow Wraith, are you considering responding to that letter? It practically cries out for a rebuttal.
As for your question, San Francisco and Seattle are relatively free of what ails you. |

Unless I'm grossly mistaken, that wasn't a letter, that was an editorial.
So much for the liberal media myth... |

Toronto and Edmonton are both excellent, if you don't mind a little change of climate.

I dunno. I am in the middle of the Bible belt of central Florida. The only atheists I know are Yanks that moved down here. Everything, including public school programs include god.

From the editorial:
"The seal will likely be upheld, in part because the Ten Commandments have secular meaning - being the basis for our very system of laws." AAAAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: |

I guess the ten commandments represent a whopping two religions (one of which only accounts for about 2% of the American citizenship) and those two can't even agree on the order! |
