The Matrix.

We bought a home theatre system with a huge HD TV. We turned the subwoofer up as high as it would go and waited for the scene when the helicopter crashed into the skyscraper. RRRUUMMMBBBLLE. I had to straighten the paintings on the wall afterwards.

Remember when the movie Earthquake came out in the theatres with "Sensurround"? I wonder if it is available in DVD...

The Mummy - I hadn't ever seen it before, but I picked it up with the player because I had heard it had really good CG, and I wanted to test out the DVD player.... I wanted to get the Matrix though, but ut was sold out.

Now I own around 30 of them...

When my wife and I bought our DVD (August 1999) we picked up four titles:

The Color Purple (hers)
The Frighteners (mine)
Shakespeare in Love (ours)
South Park: Volume 2 (mine)

My first DVD would have been BLADE, but the store was sold out at the time .

I just bought a 46 inch Sony RPT. I had my eye on the Pioneer 51 inch Elite 530HD, but my wife couldn't overlooked the $8,500 CDN pricetag.

I'm sworn to Mitsubishi. Right now my TV is a Mitsubishi big screen that is over 20 years old. It was my dad's, and I inheritied it. It has sentimental value as a) it was my dad's and b) I saw my first porno on it. I also saw many a New Orleans Saint drop many a football on it .

When it came out, it had the best picture of any big screen. It still gets a good picture. It even survived a flood in Mississippi. It's sound was screwed up by the flood, but we use our home theater anyway. Of course, it lacks the features of new ones but will find a new home in our bedroom. With my experience with this one, I'm only going to by another Mitsubishi.

THOUGHTfully Yours,
Clark
