Here is a link to Killing Hope, and excellent book that chronicals the US interventions around the world during the Cold War and after.

A must read for anyone trying to understand the postiion of "the left" on foreign affairs and the historical facts behind the positions.

William Blum is possibly my favorite political writer. I just read an article by him in "Abuse your Illusions" which is edited by Russ Kick (of Disinformation.com and thememoryhole.com).

I'd strongly recommend Abuse your Illusions.

It very likely that anyone who doesn't know of William Blum is politically ignorant.
