The only meaningful stat is the one regarding the high amount of AIDS cases among gay men. AIDS could have been well contained back in the early 80's but an over reactive political movement shut that down and millions have perished because of it.
The lesson that should have been but hasn't yet been learned is to differentiate between a lifestyle choice and an epidemic that can bring death to others.
But that's a political and philosophical topic.

This is an old and long discredited statistic. Someone went through a gay publication obituary and averaged the ages of people who died. The fact that the publication had primarily a younger readership, and that few older men were 'out' to be identified as gay at time of death completely skewed the values beyone meaning.

Typical of these sources however, they don't let little facts like that get in the way of repeating the 'fact' years later.

What percentage of AIDS cases were lesbians? (I'll take a guess that it was les than .5%.) Or do you only use statistics that support your bias?

What's your point? Serial murders occur far more commonly among white people than among black people. Does that mean all, or even most, white people are serial murderers? Does that mean it is immoral or unethical to be white?
