This is what infidels call a "higher forum" topic apparently. One comforting thought: Sneddin, Carrie, and Kirby won't be seen commenting here.

According to the Bible, men with damaged testicles or chopped-off penises couldn't take part in religious ceremonies.

How would anyone know this?

I have a tentative theory that male nudity, or at least the exposing of the genitals, was a part of early Israelite religious rituals. Circumcision would make sense in this context: you prove that you're an initiate by showing your circumcised dick to the priest.

Notice who resurrected this thread after nearly a year, and notice especially the religious persuasion of the individual unusually obsessed with his young acquaintance's penis. Neither are "infidels."

Nah, they just complained afterwards about how the men had pissed on the toilet seat...

I like this hypothesis. Now, how do we research it to get some factual backup?

Oh goody. The king of name dropping is here.

Does this mean you'll have to move your Will Durant poster to make room for photos of your 3 new favorite skeptic idols? Your bedroom walls must be getting pretty full.

For what it's worth, this topic was started last year when GRD was not one of the upper forums. And the spurly came along months later and bumped it up, for some mysterious reason.

Default That depends on how big the bird was.

A really big "pecker," like an eagle or hawk, could hold more text than a small one, like a finch or hummingbird. Heck, with a finch, you'd be lucky to get a letter on there.

Of course, maybe Hebrew or Greek letters are smaller than our standard English alphabet.
