Cool

In all fairness isn't this guy Nation of Islam?

They're effectively the Christian Identity of Islam... muslims other muslims don't like.

I've thought about this question, and I don't think that this sniper's shootings have anything to do with Islam, even the Nation of Islam. I think that this sniper is a lone lunatic and nothing more. Much like many killers and would-be killers of US Presidents.

That's because there is nothing that indicates that that sniper is acting on behalf of the Nation of Islam, or that he is selecting those he considers enemies of the NoI, or whatever.

By comparison, the Sept. 11 kamikaze hijackings were not only well-organized, they were presented as martyrdom for Islam.

Were they? I don't recall bin Laden ever publicly taking credit for them. It wasn't until we found vid tapes of him bragging to his friends that we had proof he was behind it (and of course, the Muslims claim we doctored the tapes).

Perhaps <a href="http://www.secweb.org/asset.asp?AssetID=236" target="_blank">this</a> will answer your questions Dreamer.

He was portrayed as sympathetic to the 9/11 attack, and he was described in various news articles as part of a Islamic sect that believed men were Gods and women were the earth, what ever that means. (I forget the name of the sect right now.) In any event he was not alone, all news reports told us he had a partner in Malvo. He was a Islamic religious nut, who sympathized with al Qaida and who wanted to strike at this country and sow terror, and he did that. Is there a direct connection to al Qaida? Don't know yet, but in any event God/religion strikes yet again through the actions of this terrorist thug and his partner. So the point of this thread stands, God and religion, terrorisms biggest asset, yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
