Lets take a look at this well crafted question (*cough*):

1) "Would you" - I assume the questioner is referring to me. Just little'ol me, someone who has enough trouble just keeping themselves from suffering let alone any one else.

2) "let billions of people suffer" - As if I could do something about it.

3) "for the actions of two people?" - At this point it gets even more ridiculous. If one person has no influence over the suffering of billions of people, well then, if there were two of them that would somehow do it. Yah, right! (Sounds like the German generals joke and the Italian army.)

The only context that this question makes any sense, in this venue, and with the ferocity with which it has been used to no effective purpose, is to thrash the Christian morals implied by the genesis Adam and Eve story. Don't get me wrong. I would be one of the first persons to say that when it comes to religion, Christians turn their brains off (and many of them leave them off for just about everything else). But I got to say; this question is not a fine example of reasoning either. But what can you expect when you base a question on a situation that is purely metaphorical.

It's rather obvious, wouldn't you say?

Question

Am I plain old me in this metaphorical situation b.t.w.? Then another question would be "what would I do if I were in the position to make bilions suffer?" (A reasonable assumption, because then not doing so would be the only possible way to avoid said suffering.)

The answer to which would be "Get the hell out of it, because it's not a good place to be." what can I say; power corrupts.

... oh and then I'd kick whoever- got- me- in- that- position's ass...

You are coughing up bullshit? Please report to the nearest emergency room. It could be something very serious. Perhaps it's your own. It does happen with an intestinal blockage.

Play your kid games with someone else. You are not worth talking to... IMO of course.
