Rebuilding officials said yesterday that they hoped to complete a review of the environmental impact of the proposed construction at the World Trade Center site by next April. This would allow them to lay the cornerstone of a 1,776-foot tower in August 2004, during the Republican National Convention. ..... In giving the corporation less than a year to complete an environmental impact statement and review, officials said they realized that they were setting an aggressive timetable. John C. Whitehead, the corporation chairman, said the schedule "is a very ambitious one," particularly given the large number of city, state and federal agencies that will have a voice in the project. |

Way to monopolize love for America, the victims and patriotism!
I loved it when the people demostrating against the war would chant USA USA!!! when the pro-war rally ( which had obvious disparities in term of numbers ) would start raising flags and chanting the same USA USA!!! Way to cheapen the suffering of those people, republicans! What was it ? - we stand united? We are all in this together? Apprently some are more united than others! Again and again some are more together than others... I feel really sad ![]() |
