Lightbulb Attacks in Saudi.

I'm surprised no-one has yet posted any news (unless i've missed it) on the blasts in Saudi Arabia, so here are a few:

Guardian.

BBC.

From the BBC link:

Quote:
Mr Bush said the attacks were the work of "killers whose only faith is hatred".

The Saudi Crown Prince's words were a bit more to my liking.

They are no different from vicious animals whose only concern is to shed blood and bring terror to those innocents under Gods protection.

This is a sad day for the Saudi's , My heart goes out to them.

I guess it's starting to get old hat. The war against Oceana...blah blah. You know the rest. Same story, different day. They said they suspected an attack or two in Saudi back at the beginning of may.

Westerners, particularily Americans, have been targeted at these corporate compounds for quite some time but not on this scale of attack. It would be a clear message for me to get the hell out of Suadi if I was there now. No job is worth that hassle.

The thing that struck me about these blasts is this:

I was listening to the radio when the news broke, talk radio, and within minutes (seemingly) of the blasts actually occuring, when all ANYBODY knew was that one of them was possibly a car-bomb...

Our Fearless Leaders were telling the press that this was an al-Qa'eda operation.

How did they know? Outside of a need to prop up an external understable and most of all hate-able enemy, I mean...

I heard about this right after it happened, as I have a lot of family still living in Saudi (I'm from Riyadh) It's a sad thing indeed, and I think it will have a long-standing effect on the Saudi people.

I wonder how they knew that too but the BBC article said something about it being so similar to the attack in Russia and training info they have recovered from Al-queda camps that it had their sig all over it.

Half of me still suspects this is all a fake war undertaken by both sides to rally populations around the respective flags and culture. Its becoming to obvious to me trhat Washington starts drooling when this crap happens.

If our gov was true to its people and the world, we would have rolled Saudi by now.

BTW, I'm not saying we should crush Saudi like Afganistan or Iraq, , its just if you add up their lists with Saudi Arabia's, its about the same length.

2 things:

1) How come within a few hours, Bush says that the people that committed this act were part of al-Qaida? He must have some fast intelligence sources

2) Why hasn't the US gotten rid of the regime of Saudi Arabia? It is hypocritical to get rid of dictators and preach democracy when Bush is letting a monarchy rule Saudi.

Your posts in this thread are unfathomable. What USA is the land of the Gods or what? Were all pure and noble? The rest of the world should prostrate it's self in front of our noble economic interests?

I think you might have misunderstood, I just meant to imply that we have as much, if not more, of a reason to attack Saudi in some way based on the reason we attacked Afgahnistan and Iraq.

I should have added that specifically the Saudi's leaders, if any leaders of the ME, should be trembling in their boots but they aren't because Bush & Co are covering up for them.

I don't see anything unfathomable about that.
