You seem to take pleasure at others ordeals, dont you? Sounds like you would love to see the electric chair executions. I am actually rooting for Saddam. I hope the US fails to get him, honestly. Saddam deserves Iraqi justice, at the hands of iraqis, not at the hands of a few americans. Especially when those americans happen to be just as dirty and despicable as he is. So, theres your answer. No, i dont feel "glee", not for Saddam, and not for anyone else. You should measure your words, and analyse your feelings. We are not talking about some quiz show, or TV contest. There are people dieing everyday in Iraq, even as we speak, and i doubt we should feel "glee" about it... But hey, since you are here, how about answering a couple of loose questions, that you conveniently left behind, uh? I know a lot of us are crazy to hear it. It would be nice if you did answered them, instead of those hit and run tactics you keep using... The clock is ticking. Tic tac, tic tac, tic tac... ![]() ![]() |

This reminds me of a comment I saw on Kuro5hin once by a Conservative Christian named Keeteel
"What I would give to see the look on your atheist face as you stand in judgment before God, realizing everything you knew was wrong." Regardless of how much you hate the man why do you look forward with glee to the death of another? (Laci, why do *you* as an individual hate Saddam? How has he personally affected your life that would cause *you* to have an emotional response to the possibility of his death.) I'd like to see him brought before an international court, answer to his crimes before the world and his victims, and find out what really went on over there. We need to clear up fact from fiction, simply executing him in the middle of Iraq by some American soldier as many Americans desire isn't going to make this world any safer. After all these years, we're still just savages. We rationalize our desire and need for blood, and drop ourselves to the level of these murderers because we feel it's what they deserve. True rationality and true justice is doing this through a world court where he can face charges for his crimes against humanity. But the desire for blood runs deep in the mindset of Americans. As a last point, I don't think we should do anything to stop Laci's posts. Regardless if Laci is trolling or now, Laci's views are the common majority in America. We are such a small minority it's not even funny. There's some people who are against the war and Bush in general, but they've not rationalized their opinions through debate and fact. This community is representative of almost no-one outside of the internet. |

288 American soldiers have died for something that really wasn't our problem. Of course, if you own shares in Brown & Root, you may feel differently. |
