In 1973 that American Psychiatric Association voted to removed homosexuality from the DMS-II list. Truth stranger than fiction this was just 7 years before the hiv/aids epidemic broke out in gay communities.

Who says gays are promiscuous? Two of my gay friends are in a stable monogomaous relationship, and have been for almost 20 years. May heterosexualrelationships don't last that long.

Actually everyone agrees why the Roman Empire fell. Rome lost the ability to field an army of Roman citizens to protect its borders. This forced Rome to hire Barbarian mercenaries to serve in their place. The mercenaries after a time found the arrogant and decadent Romans contemptible, and just marched on Rome to destroy it for fun, sending Western Europe into the Dark Ages.

What people disagree upon, is "why" Rome lost the ability to field an army. In other words... Why did Roman families become unwilling to serve and protect the Roman Empire. With the exception of Britain, one might ask the same question of Old Europe today, and in this sense, the US has become Europe’s techno Barbarians. So the real question becomes, why European families can't raise enough people willing to serve and protect Europe?

Its a dicey question.
