Reminds me of Talking to Americans on 22 minutes before Rick Mercer left. I still miss those segments.

OK, I admit I had to look up the fifth man on the Moon (Alan Shepard of Apollo 14) but some of that was pretty hilarious.
Q: "Who is Tony Blair?" A: "Linda Blair's brother" ROTFLMAO. |

Jay Leno of the Tonight Show does something like that in the states. He goes out on the streets an asks these trivial questions like, "Where is Canada with respect to the U.S.?" and gets weird and sad answers.

There are Americans who think that New Mexico is a foreign country.

When my family was about to move from Iowa to West Virginia, I got lots of comments about, "Oh, I know someone in Richmond."

I have to admit the Jaywalk is pretty funny, as depressing as it is. The worst was somebody (who I'm 80% convinced was fake) who thought the US fought France in World War II. The show Street Smarts is similar, although it's not as much fun, since sometimes people actually do know the answers.
Lots of people asked me stupid questions when I went to Japan. "Are the Japanese physically capable of growing beards?" Then again, I also knew a Japanese person who asked if there were vending machines in Canada ![]() |
