Default Guilt/Forgiveness

I heard this on a tv series/movie I saw yesterday (said by an old funny jewish rabi):

«Jews have the guilt, Christians the forgiveness»

In a way this seems true, from what I've learnt all my life, and yet I still feel guilty for things I do or don't do, even when I know it's silly and doesn't make sense, even when I 'felt' the forgiveness or tried to do it, everytime I put myself first I felt guilty. Stupid, heh?

not really....we all do things that were the right thing but that we feel guilty for...occasionally it is ok to be selfish If you don't sometimes put yourself first who else is?
