It is funny though that Magus is so concerned about time tables and not about floating in the air.
1Cr 15:52 says nothing about clouds and air. It says that the dead will be raised (yuk) and we will be changed. Doesn't mention what the change is though. But if you are going into the clouds to be with Jesus forever it probably means that you are going to start to inflate with gas. I hope it's helium. A lot of Xians are heavy smokers and if they filled up with hydrogen things could get messy. "Oh, the humanity!" After all "rapture of the deep" happens when you get too much nitrogen desolved in your blood. Plain ole "rapture" might be from all that helium. I wonder if when they are praising god, over and over and over and over and over and over and over...for eternity, if they will be doing it in those high squeaky helium voices? |

Um, Magus, have you ever considered maybe that the whole second coming thinger is sentimental, like that Jebus would come back in people's hearts? Anyway, here's a song for you.
Ayreon- Intergalatic Space Crusaders Loner: We're on our way to a prison in space Our last flight, the final phase I was betrayed and now I've been caught As the brains of a massive fraud Idealist: I can't remember, am I insane? My mind is blank cos they emptied my brain I will return, I will be back I will unite us and we will attack Loner: I don't care about your plans and schemes Don't give a damn 'bout your righteous dreams All that I do, I do for myself I never cared for anyone else Idealist: We have to save them, we have to try We can't just watch while the innocent die Let's steal this ship and start our crusade Powerful allies will come to our aid Loner: Seven fighters Idealist: Navigators Crew: Intergalactic space crusaders Loner: Federation Idealist: Dictators Crew: No scruples, lethal traitors Loner: Outriders Idealist: Invaders Crew: Intergalactic space crusaders Loner: Domination Idealist: Liberators Crew: Fighting to survive Loner: Who on earth do you think that you are Without me you wouldn't get far I've had enough of your private war Why are we fighting, what is it all for? Idealist: To right the wrong, to fight the good fight Living like you just wouldn't be right I am the leader, I have the skills Either you leave or you yield to my will Loner: I can't believe you gave us away Although it hurts, I will make you pay Don't understand, can't figure out why All I know, you have to die! Idealist: Our strong bond couldn't keep us apart I've always trusted you right from the start You've been deceived, they're telling you lies I'm still the same, I'm on your side It was this or Jews in Space. |

So those 14 NT quotes I posted on the last page that all say the rapture is penciled in to happen around 2000 years ago...should we just ignore them? Do they not mean what they say? Are they metaphors, allegories perhaps? Maybe wrong translations? They can't be that prophecy stuff that you love so much...because they didn't happen.
Could it possibly be that they are 14 lies? |
