Default Fleetwod Mac

OK, we've got a thread on Led Zeppelin, which I agree is a pretty damn good group, but MY favorite group all-time is the late-70's incarnation of Fleetwood Mac--Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, and Christine McVie. As far as I'm concerned, this is the perfect band. Five distinct personalities, five distinct voices, five distinct musical talents, coming together to create something magical. Two of the voices were women's, so you had an added dimension there that you don't find with all-male groups. Plus, you had extraordinarily talented and creative songwriters in Buckingham, Nicks, and C. McVie, each with a unique style, and the group as a whole was fully capable of realizing each songwriter's vision for his/her song.

From the 70's, I put the Eagles next, followed by Heart. I guess I'd put Zeppelin fourth.

I was never a big fan of Fleetwood Mac until I won free tickets to their concert. (probably 4 years ago) All it took was watching Lindsey Buckingham play his solo version of Big Love. Absolutely unbelievable. He is obviously one of the most under-rated guitarists around. And it doesn't hurt that Stevie Nicks has one of the sexiest voices I've ever heard.....
