I can't believe you are blaming this on Newdow. I suppose the 9/11 holier than thou "God Bless" reaction was his fault too. How long, exactly, should he have waited? Six months? A year? A decade? When, exactly, is the "right" time to fight for what one believes is right? How, exactly, are the actions of the Radical Right(c) in the control of Dr. Newdow?

Now is the time to show support for those who are taking gutsy stands against the imminent theocratic takeover of our secular, democratic society.

Newdow wanted to stop the pledge influencing his daughter while she is young and impressionable. If he had waited, she would've just gotten older and more 'indoctrinated'. If he had waited, the court could very reasonably have turned around and said "Dr Newdow, why are you fussing about this now when you said nothing when your daughter was younger and more impressionable?".
