Bet the fundibots will be steamed over this.
![]() Protected Teens Not Promiscuous http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/...in555871.shtml Teenagers at high schools where condoms were available were no more likely to have sex than other teens, a study published Wednesday finds. The study confirms earlier research on the programs developed in the 1990s to stem the spread of HIV and reduce teen pregnancy. It found that students in high schools with condom programs were more likely to use condoms, though students in other high schools were more likely to use other forms of birth control. Some conservative groups have staunchly opposed such programs, saying they send the wrong message and in effect encourage and enable teens to have sex before marriage. |

So what? Condoms cut the risk of sex and so they can't scare teens with the dangers of sex.
Therefore, condoms are evil. QED. |

I had the thought of many young men walking around with new condoms in their wallets, only hoping they could use them.
Whether they are available at school or not, she (the young lady) may still not say yes. Sorry, the picture in my mind was the geeky guys, dreaming of a little bit of lovin' ![]() Every couple which wants to do it will. |

For nervous and sqeamish teenagers, there's nothing like fiddling with condoms to make abstinence (or at least Saving Yourself for True Love) seem like a reasonable alternative. One way or another, promoting condom use works.
