Default "Radical Center" Thinktank

I like a lot of what I see at this site:

www.newamerica.net

They describe themselves as the "radical center", for what it's worth. Seems to kind of have a "progressive centrist" flavor that I mostly dig. Anybody else read this site or know anything about them?

I can see that it might have appealed to me very much a few years ago.

Then came Chomsky, Herman, Blum, Parenti, etc.

emphryio--
I can see how it wouldn't be everyone's cup of pekoe. It's quite a bit closer to the 2 extant, dominant [U.S.] parties than Chomsky's take would be, certainly.

I would say that the thinktank at the link I posted tends more toward incremental change and the pragmatic a bit more than a Chomsky perspective....?

The only general and sweeping criticism that I can imagine, about the thinktank's overall take on things and approach, would be that some would feel that it isn't radicalenough. And others would say it's still too radical. And some are satisfied by the dominant 2 [1? ] current choices. But I think that overall, whilst the New America Foundation may have some specific ideas that one may disagree with, the part that I like is that they are trying to work effectively to bring about change, within the system as it stands, advocating for what I see as many creative and possibly worthwhile ideas. It's one thing to point out that the system is fucked, quite another to get anything really done about it.

I s'pose my taste reflects a hunger for an approach that takes a bit less of a polarized position. I'm ready for change and I'm willing to forego some idealism to actually get it. That's how I see my preference, anyways.......
