I can't stop laughing!

Yes, Larry, I'm sure that the families of two thousand dead Iraqis are laughing as well. Since when is it so inappropriate to hold our president to a higher standard than a maniacal dictator? I just want to know.

Bush's ineptitude really is pure slapstick, though. Of course, it is very possible that he's trying to fulfill a prophecy here. He IS insane, you know.

You know, I think you are just being a tease trying to get a rise out of the anti-war protestors.

I am glad this bloody thing is coming close to an end. It seems that even N.Korea is starting to have second thoughts about having a 'Shock and Awe' campain storm their turf. That was my no.1 concern. I was against this war, but now all I can do is support the troups.

I'd guess that or one of those people who still think democrats espouse democratic values and republicans espouse and support republican values. Phil, everything is for sale these days. Everything. Federal politicians and wannabes lost their party philosophies decades ago.

The only fools still proudly calling themselves republicans or democrats are the ones who haven't woke up to 2003 yet.

not really. i chauvanistically believe the best thing that can happen to a land is to become a state of this union. i think we have this really good system of laws, checks and balances already in place and this way all a land would have to do is to work out the state charter & constitution within an already existing framework.

I know you are not either and I try not to make those types of comments but seriously - you make it sound as if the easiest thing in the world is to simply say "we rule" and "you follow" to these people while pointing a gun at them. If you have been following events you will know they already HATE us so much we can't get them to accept our form of democracy. Turn Iraq into our own West Bank?? I want to repeat, "what are you smoking again?" but I won't.

The last "state" we took that way (by simply telling them they are now a part of us) was Hawaii (sugar, not oil) and even that almost failed. It took over 50 years for them to actually accept us and become a state after our military coup took out their Monarchy Govt. in the late 1890's.

Might does not make right. NEVER HAS, NEVER WILL.

no, turn them into our california, texas, ect...

heck, the next president could actually be from the state of iraq. wishful thinking, again cause i really believe we got a pretty good thing going. one problem would be controlling a flood of immigration into the new state of people seeking us citizenship.
