Re: Hovind's court records
The other Kent Hovind listed (the one who got married and was in a civil case) is Kent Andrew Hovind and is the son of Dr. Dino. It appears to me that he has got as about a clean of a record as one can ask for assuming that there is nothing nasty in the civil case. That got me to check Eric Hovind, who shares with his father the preaching/speaking chores of CSE. He has got a rap sheet as well. It seems that he thinks that having a drivers licence and car tag is optional. I won't complain that he has a speeding ticket since that is rather common offense: I doubt that there is a driver in existence who has not speed, myself included. Eric Hovind's rap sheet |

They sound like the perfect family to be running for political office.

Shit, this is priceless!
Oh, how I wish I could be at the trial to see this monkey represent himself. I imagine he's going to be a royal pain in the ass. |

Well, Cummings Dr. isn't a very long road. In fact, it's a cul-de-sac, with Dinoworld or whatever he calls it at the end. I think he owns quite a bit of that property along the road. |

No, no, no, he doesn't own anything! If he did, he'd have to pay property taxes.
Even so - it still looks like a coincidence whose probability is right up there with the vanishing likelihood of all those highly complex protein molecules occurring by random chance. Wonder how he likes probabilities when they work against him. |

Dr. Dino (I love that monicker in a twisted sort of way) has been sleezing out of paying taxes and otherwise ripping off the people of FL for as long as I can remember. It's good to see that they have him on something that seems solid, not to mention criminal.
Is he really going to represent himself, take on a fool for a client? Should be fun to watch. doov |

"I am a servant of God, and I answer to a higher calling than this court. Those evil-utionists--" "Either the next words out of your mouth are gonna be guilty or not guilty, or I'm gonna find you in contempt of court. Now, for the last time, how do you plea?" "You have no right to judge me. Only God--" "You are now in contempt of court. Would you like to go for two counts of contempt?" ". . . not guilty." "Thank you. Enter a plea of not guilty. Bailiff, take Mister Hovind into custody." "DOCTOR Hovind. It says so in the phone book." "My oh my, this is going to be a fun trial . . ." Incidentally, does anyone know what the maximum penalty is for the charges that Hovind is facing? Dave |

here The burglery, because he also commited an assault and battery, is a first degree felony and carries a maximum of life in prison and a fine of $15,000 The Battery is a first degree misdemeanor and carries a maximum of 1 year in prison, and a fine of $1000 The assault is a second degree misdemeanor and carries a maiximum of 60 days in jail and a fine of $500 I don't think it is likely they won't reduce the charges, but with this pinhead representing himself who knows. In any case he is in serious trouble |
