Does a will exist or doesn't it?

If it does, does it not by definition define something that can choose between alternative courses of action? If so, then what is the difference between "free will" and "will"? Seems like redundant terminology to me.

If it doesn't, then I guess I don't know what "will" means, or what "unfree will" would mean for that matter.
