"...hair cut in a short wedge up front but flowing down over their shoulders in the back—a cut that is known as a mullet, which is sort of a cross between Van Halen's style and Kenny Rogers's, and is the ugliest hairdo since every hairdo in the seventies."
From an article in the Atlantic that explains the rural/urban dicotomy in the US. One Nation, Slightly Divided Slightly insulting to rural and small town America but amusing. |

ICR must have some sort of telepathic control over Hochstatter. Both bills, especially that disclaimer, read as if somebody at the Discovery Institute or ICR wrote them and just had Hochstatter sign.
To answer What's a Mullet? mullets To get the full mullet effect you need to visit a small town like Stanley or Luray in the Shenandoah Valley (any small town in the southeast would likely do) on a Friday night in the summer. Everybody age 15-35 cruises Main Street, all three blocks of it, and/or hangs out in the IGA parking lot until the usual 11 or 12PM curfew. To them the Big Bang is the female hairstyle and mullets sure ain't fish. |

I like how they say that evolution is repugnant to the Declaration of Independence. But the DOI is nothing but rhetoric that is no basis for any of our laws at all.

The fact that crap like this keeps coming back is repugnant to me. I live in the Tri-Cities area of eastern WA and believe me this kind of crap is welcomed here. In the 3 cities you have one that is full of scientist and researchers and one that is agriculture and another that is everyone else. Very general but basically true. Huge number of fundies and mormons. Every time a Democrate gets elected you year it was King County that did it. Henrietta and SallySmith have it right. I don't see this bill getting out of comittee but I have written all my state reps to stop this thing. It just sucks.
