No, I'm suggesting that education and reinforcement (positive and negative) directed toward bigots might in the long run prove more productive than everybody taking their toys and going home.

In the abstract, I agree with you. And if I saw the slightest inclination on the part of the government to deal with these issues, I would be the first to say: "Let's fight it out." But there is no such willingness. It's sad.
