How did we strengthen your faith in the lord? If anything, you've strengthened our lack of faith. You contend that the biggest reason you believe in god is due to faith. Faith which is blind trust. Like....I have faith that I'll fly to Kansas by the wings of a turtle tomorrow. See what faith does? You said it yourself. It puts trust into the unbelievable, things we would not otherwise believe possible. Things out of the realm of common sense. And whether or not we use 20%, 100% or 1% of our brains has nothing to do with anything. It's how we use our brains (or if we use them for that matter). I like the argument that God is beyond human scope or reason as it provides a nice cushion for theists who otherwise can't explain God. Me: What can you tell me about the phenomena of God? Xtian: It's just too complex to understand. Just trust in his spirit, as he will guide you. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... |
