The thread title has been "Missing Links" as long as I have seen it on the board. That's what got my interest in the first place (I'm not really into the physics and chemistry arguments).

Ok so maybe we should be asking scottidee this question:

How did you name the thread "Missing Links" but then change the subject in the thread? Tell us!!

I don't think scottidee did it. I think it must have been a moderator. The way you can change the thread title but not the subject to the OP is to use the "Admin Options" drop down menu at the bottom of the thread and select "Edit Thread." From there you can change the thread title in the "Subject" box. Doing this will only change the thread title, not the subject to the OP. If you just use the "Edit" button at the bottom of the post, both the thread title and OP subject will change (provided that the thread title had not been edited by a moderator using the "Edit Thread" fuction from the "Admin Options" menu. That apparently locks in the thread title.)

Anyway, that's how it worked on the version of vB I tested this on.

He just edited the post. If you change a thread title when editing will only the "inpost title" change not the one showed on the titleboard.
