Default Is "religion" an argument at all?

Is "religion" an argument at all when it comes to the successful running of a planet for all of the people who live here?

Does the vatican have a "Mono-Pole" on the Truth?

Shall we use the Moon as a Lunatic Asylum, or as an overspill area for IDiots, to be run by the Wizard of ID?

Would ONE True Belief be better than a plethora of false ones?

Our (your name goes here) Who Art in Heaven (Oh yes you are!) Hallowed be each others name. (Quite, it IS about Respect you know!) Lead not each other into temptation (I don't know about that one so much as it depends if it is legal or not) and be VERY nice to each other.

Give us this day nice weather and pleasant companions and good food, etc. YOU are nice aren't you ...

So in order to see the full idea take one triangular piece (equilateral triangle, just to be equal) of wood and drill three holes in it.

Pass three pieces of string, of equal length through these holes and knot the ends together. Place the wooden triangle in the middle of the string and you have a Whizzer.

Once you have spun the wood around the string for a while you only need to pull on the string for the wood to wizz around, backwards & forwards.

Fun?

Wizzard!

We're off to see the Wizzard the wonderful Wizzard of OZ ... Why? You ask.

Because, because, because, because, because!

You can paint a heart on your Whizzer if you want to.

Fun for ALL the family!

Angelic, like Me ...

Do you believe in Angels too?

And if not ... WHY NOT?

I can make neither heads or tails of this thread, but I must say that I do like angels!

I don't understand why Light keeps trying. I mean, I really don't. It seems like almost every thread he starts ends up in Elsewhere.

Anyway... as for painting things on my whizzer... that sounds kinky.

This is where the cognitive dissonance sets in. You'll say this but insist that your odd beliefs about Egypt don't count as religion.

Great, why don't you practice what you preach by starting to respect homosexuals rather than condemning them?

I think now would be a good time to bring in the "Argument from sausage".

So, who remembers what I'm talking about?

I can never find it in myself to "respect" homosexuals. This is not something which I find possible to do.

At the same time I cannot find it in myself to respect a society which has so many children that this condition is allowed to exist without proper treatment and conditioning.

This is just gross mismanagement of people.

These are not "beliefs" abut Egypt. Egypt clearly demonstrates just how the all-knowing and all-seeing mind of God actually works.

If you were to be like God then you would know this for yourself as you would be all-seeing and all-knowing too.

However it would be a far better thing if everyone was all-open and all-helpful and not so stupidly selfish and secretive.

Then you might actually start helping each other and finally actually get somewhere with all of these problems, instead of being so damnably evil and downright greedy and unhelpful.

When are you going to do something about "religious" terrorism ???
