I was completely gobsmacked by the insignia that was posted on page 2 of this thread. These people frighten me.

I read the thread, I failed to see what you found offensive or scary. You do realize that was military insignia right? Insignia for the uniforms of people who are going to go into war and kill people? and you find "dont fuck with us" in latin to be offensive. Or maybe it was the one that glorified bombing libya? I am confused here. |

I am with you on the whole god should be kept strictly separate from bombs and war. With these particular people on cf didnt seem to be foaming at the mouth fundamentalists in that thread. I dont have a problem with idolatry or warlord pride I guess. I fail to see where any of the insignia paraded bigotry however. Please note, I do question any fundy xian's ability to make decisions involving people of different religions. |

What is the problem there? One guy posted a few military insignia (which could have been in sarcasm, judging from his post #24 on page 3) and that's about it. He might be pro-war, but so are some people here. It's nothing frightening.

I read the thread and did not come away with the fear that "God and Bombs" go together. I think there is way to much being made of this.
After all that is a Christian forum, there was only one post I recall that said the people in Iraq need to find god. Why would it bother anyone that there is a forum where people with like minded ideals share thier thoughts and who are we to find it scary ![]() |

To an extent everyone wants to impose thier beliefs on someone,or else there would not be a need to discuss issues. As far as you reference to Ann Coulter , She may rub people the wrong way but to compare here to Bin Laden is going a little far. Just because Ms. Coulter has beliefs you don't care for does not mean she would try to impose those beliefs by killing 2845 people whose only crime they commited was showing up for work. You may not agree with me and maybe are wondering why I don't get it and thats no biggie. As we are free to express ourselves here, the people at the christian forum also have that right. It may scare you, but that is the price for being free to express ones self. |
