As told in this CNN article, two Republican Washington State reps walked out during a Muslim prayer.
In general it's hard to know where to stand, since I agree that no prayers should be recited during such congressional sessions. But walking out simply because it's a Muslim prayer saying "It's an issue of patriotism...even though the mainstream Islamic religion doesn't profess to hate America, nonetheless it spawns the groups that hate America" seems absurd to me. Boycott prayers from religions that inspire hate?!! I hope they're prepared to boycott Christian prayers as well! ![]() Thoughts? |

It is easy to know where to stand. Either leave them alone or disallow all public prayer. Anythinig else is illegitimate, undemocratic chauvinism. Beyond this, these hypocrites are not worth discussing.
