An offbeat member of my list (not really a "character") from a sometimes sci-fi show: Rod Serling, from Twilight Zone.

In no particular order:
Han Solo Ellie Arroway (Jodie Foster in Contact) Malcolm Reynolds (Firefly) Ellen Ripley (Alien and its sequels) Jean Luc Picard and Q (ST: TNG) Buffy and Willow (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) Lex Luthor (the Smallville version) Snake Plissken (Escape from NY/LA) Damn. That's ten already. I've never seen Dr. Who. Guess I'll have to rent the DVDs. The third member of the Buffy troika is Andrew. Too bad they whacked the other two, they were actually interesting. |

Carlos,
Be prepared to have no clue what's going on for a little bit. Dr. Who's been running for over 25 years, so there are often a lot of little plot elements that the show doesn't bother to explain. Jeff |

First and foremost, Han Solo. What a guy. The rest are:
Farve, from Total Recall 2070; Spike, The Mayor, and Faith, from Buffy The Vampire Slayer (the series); Lothos, from BtVS (the movie); Trinity and Morpheus, from The Matrix; Logan/Wolverine and Jean Grey, from X-Men; and last, but most importantly, the wonderstud who was Starbuck, from Battlestar Gallactica. ![]() |

My advice is to start at the beginning. Watch 'An Unearthly Child' and work forwards from there. This would mean using VHS instead of DVD, since very few stories are on DVD. Dr Who VHS tapes are as cheap as chips on Amazon and eBay though. Paul |
