Default Idiot Cheese

For breakfast this morning, I had Freedom Toast. I also had some scrambled eggs with Idiot Cheese.

Spring is almost here, so this afternoon I'm going to go out in my yard and trim the Morons.

If I read you correctly, I have only one question:

Why on earth would you ruin perfectly good eggs with the crime against cuisine that is American cheese?

Took me a sec. I kept asking myself "What's so funny about trimming the hedges?"

Gotta have the cheese, and it has to be American cheese for some damned reason. I've tried other kinds, but American seems to melt in just right. About one slice per four eggs, so not very much, scrambled right in.

But I agree. Normally, given the choice between eating American cheese and shaving with a belt sander, just plug me in.

after eating such a scrumptious breakfast, I think we should convince Bush that France has biological and chemical weapons, that they are repressing their people, and that they pose a serious threat to us. Then we should take them over and put in carrot-top as president and MR. T as Prime minister. We can do this using albino ninja force and pancakes, but don't take my word for it. I only say this because the bible told me so.

I applaud ElwoodBlues for his humour, and I would like to help, but I'm still laughing my guts out afterlearning a month and a half ago that in 1917 the Americans renamed "German measles" (rubella) as "Liberty measles".

Do these kind of people never think about what they're doing ?

Exclamation

Hideous, but true. That's the mob mentality at work. You know - the warhawk mentality. :banghead:

See here for more.

An excerpt:

Quote:
Anti-German propaganda fueled support for the war, but it also contributed to intolerance on the home front. Dachshunds were renamed liberty dogs, German measles were renamed liberty measles, and the City University of New York reduced by one credit every course in German. Fourteen states banned the speaking of German in public schools.

The military adversary was thousands of miles away, but German-Americans provided convenient local scapegoats. In Van Houten, New Mexico, an angry mob accused an immigrant miner of supporting Germany and forced him to kneel before them, kiss the flag, and shout "To hell with the Kaiser."

In Illinois, a group of zealous patriots accused Robert Prager, a German coal miner, of hoarding explosives. Though Prager asserted his loyalty to the very end, he was lynched by the angry mob. Explosives were never found.
Land of the free, home of the brave? Oh yeah.

Whatever.
