Read it again - it applies throughout the entire United States.

Wanna link?

Well, if you're feeling left out, we could ship him over to you...

Oh, please say yes!

It was a Texas law that was overturned. However, the rulings of the SCOTUS apply nationwide. Any similar law in other states is effectively knocked down.

So you're gloating over how 'enlightened' and tolerant New Zealand is?

It's actually rather sad that some can consider their country "way ahead".
Chill out! I was having some fun after the Fay Ghotrie/Ghengis Pwn troll thread on "Homo's" in America. Juts a little humour, a little play, a little fun.

Or is that not allowed in PD?

This is kind of off topic but. Isn't it Australia (or is it NZ?) like one of the largest prospering athiest/agnostic nations? I mean as far as population percentages.

I think so. We have an atheist PM and religion doesn't have anything to do with our lives at all. There are people who go to church and belong to an assortment of denominations, etc, but life is very, very secular. I have NEVER had anyone ask me what church I go to, for example.

Please, please, tell me they have a shortage of physicists or related field there in NZ!

Any chance I could emigrate after I have my degree?

I so....want to leave the US, and NZ is so beautiful from what I've seen.

Actually, I'm looking at the NZ immigration site now. Looks like I don't get many points at my age, only 2 out of 10 by the time I finish my degree.

Probably the best thing is to look for employment there when I get it. Of course my age, 45, when I get my B.S. will likely make employment harder anywhere. From that site it looks hard to emigrate to NZ.

Gotta love those Arch Conservatives. Still applying religious doctrine to human rights in a country allegedly Secular. With leaders like this Nuclear Winter should be a season and not a fear.

um, you could try ANSTO <australian nuclear science and technology organisation> and see if they have a position free, I know for a fact they have no qualms about hiring foreigners.
