Seebs, do you really believe that a bronze age sky god came to earth in the form of a man so that he could sacrifice himself to himself and save us all from his wrath?

Atheists- make sure you only post in the challenge. The community is only for Christians, and very friendly non-christians. The challenge is for atheist and believers. We had a few trolls visit faithforum so they had to install the mod system. |

I don't believe it was a bronze age sky god; I believe that bronze-age people looked at Him through sky-god tinted glasses. |

With pretty good certainty? All the damn time. I generally act as though whatever I believe is "true"; that's what I interpret "belief" to mean. If sometimes I'm wrong, well, that's fine - at least I'm not sitting in a pool of piss denying the world. Yeah, yeah, fallacy of the excluded middle... but in practice, my working hypothesis is always formulated as a truth claim. |
