The IIDB vbulletin system is generating very large #s of 'server is too busy, try later' messages... I have to click reload sometimes 20 times before I can view a page. This is a bad thing. And then, the problem just goes away for awhile.. and comes back later. I'm presuming this corresponds with peaks and valleys in the # of users trying to view the 'If you have set yourself on fire' thread.
I would gladly sacrifice loading speed for reliatility; I would much rather have to wait 2-4 seconds than the normal .5 for a page to load if it meant I didn't have to click reload 20 times. Is there any way vbulletin can be configured to throttle bandwith for individual users? |

Please see the Announcement in all of the forums. Please also see the final post in this topic. Finally, look at the bottom of the main forum and note the number of people on line. We average around 220.
