That guy's either an out and out charlatan or suffering from delusions of adequacy. (I apologize if I didn't spell that last word correctly...very late night last night.)

Edited because I need to get more sleep

That's an alternate explanation I'd certainly like! .

[Edited for spelling. I can't believe I misspelled 'explanation.']

Why the comic-book format?

Talking

As a student of modern languages, I'm always curious about such things, so I took a look at the Jack Chick tracts in French.

I found one that was particularly interesting, I guess just because I have to imagine the reaction of a French person reading it.

<a href="http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0762/0762_01.asp" target="_blank">http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0762/0762_01.asp</a>

It's called "Une Poule Mouillé" (A Wet Hen), referring to Jesus. It's "great for truckers and bikers." (Tour de France) One of those things you would fine in Les Grands Truck-Stops de France.

It's the story of the macho and under-groomed trucker Frankie and his wormy sidekick, Billy Joe. They're converted at a truckstop by a really buff Liberace impersonator.

Such tracts go a long way to reinforce the American Cowboy stereotype that remains so prevalent. Even so, they're awfully amusing.

I just want to know where he gets these ideas.

Aaaaaw man! I've been totally cheated!

I do a fair amount of roleplaying and one of my favorite GameMasters is a Witch. We've been playing together for years now and not once has she brought any of us over to the dark side!

Well, dammit, I'm going to go tell her that she's been slacking and to hurry up and get on with it!

Yeah, you know, after reading that, I wondered why the D&D players I knew in college never seemed able to magic the teachers into just ignoring it when they fell asleep in class due to too many late nights...
