Cynical Chick, I understand what you are saying to a point. I think that you are expressing the sterio-type that you, yourself face. It may just be a local thing, or what you face from your family. I also assume that you might dress goth? Maybe you seem to face more strutiny because your appearance doesn't follow the mainstream. I get treated differently when I dress goth as apposed to wearing a skirt suit.
Um, just to let you know, I'm thirty, into punk and metal, have five piercings in my right ear three in the left, and get nearly laughed out of Hot Topic. Perhaps that's because I am tempted once a week to oogle at my favorite band's satanic shirt and then put it back deciding that it would just be too much for me to wear in public...
