So, why not post the links to the English translation - unless you simlpy want to shut out 99.9% of posters from this discussion?
Jacob,

There are something like 3 English translations of SM that are available on the Net. Willker's site is now back online, and it has Morton Smith's translation.

Whats your response concerning my take on your case#2?
All canonical texts of John lack the word "door" in this passage, and yet this feature is present in SM, and in numerous Western/Peripheral manuscripts of John, besides the Old Syriac.

Now I've decided that it's not very productive to discuss my new evidence piecemeal, like I've been doing recently. I'm planning to present all of it in context, with all the supporting evidence. So please wait until I finish my article where I outline my case in detail. It's coming soon.

And besides, I've already documented one more relevant item, to bring the total to 6.

Regards,

Yuri.

Thanks again. Before I depart from this discussion, I would just like you to assist me understand one thing:

This is what you wrote:
Quote:
CASE #2

(SecMk) kai proselqwn o ihsouv apekulise ton liqon apo _thv qurav_ tou mnhmeiou
(And going near Jesus rolled away the stone from _the door_ of the tomb.)

(OS JOHN 11:38) and that tomb was a hollow like a cave, and _its door_ hidden by a stone
Now, let me get this straight: is the occurence of the word "door" alone the linchpin of your vaunted "parallel" for case# 2?
