Reldas of Melchezidec,

I would very much like to see how you reconcile the Genesis creation account with a modern scientific understanding of the history of the earth and the cosmos.

Again, sorry about that Reldas. However, if you'll re-read the initial post, you'll see I'm looking for a syllabus (read "lesson plan"), not a socratic discussion. There was no discrimination - simply your failure to provide what I asked for.

Try something like this:
First Day:
I. Introduction (general overview)
II. Distinctness of Kinds (essentialist foundation)
III. Fossil record (how sc explains the pattern)
IV. Convergent features (how sc explains the observations from nature)

etc.

Get the picture?

Exclamation

I need more time. I'm such a procrastinator and this is an important and extensive undertakeing for which I will need to research thoroughly. I hope to have it soon.
Will anyone else disagree with me? How can we learn from each other if everyone is silent. I hope Christians as well as Agnostics will chime in and engage me. Just take a little part of the "Socratic discussion" ( I do Like Socrates - and tell me your qualms and insights with and about it.
Peace and Grace,
Reldas- disciple of the high priest of the order of Melchezidec (and I can say that 10 times fast)

Don't kill yourself over this Reldas. The proposed lesson plan was submitted over three weeks ago. I'd still be interested in reading your input, but unfortunately only one creationist responded - so with minor modifications he agreed to, that was what was submitted.
