Woo Hoo I got an honorable mention! This is also my chat room handle in several rooms, and I get compliments on it all the time.

I like christ-on-a-stick, because it also happens to be a favorite "colorful phrase" of mine.

Thanks for the info, Godless Dave!

I read some of Hitchhiker's Guide many years ago. It really didn't have a story, just a collection of jokes, but that didn't matter, it was funny as hell. I read it when I was married to my ex-husbo.

One disturbing thing about some folks who read sci-fi is that they stifle their emotions and think that emotions are too sissy. Their idol is...you guessed it, Mr. Spock. They often tend to be control freaks. Life is more complicated than that.

Woohoo, I'm a write-in candidate.

Speaking of which, I want to give a big second to "I ate Pascal's wafer". That is just pure genius, and that guy should be rewarded. It is over and above anything else that any other normal person tries to do.

Seriously, though, I like BibleHumper and Bible-Belted myself.

I voted "Chuck Fristians." Hilarious. I almost started a thread on that handle, I wish I invented it. Maybe someday I'll legally change my actual name to Charles Fristians

Default where are they now

how about a good christian name, like Albert Cipriani- I miss his wit and cutting typo. What other christian names have rocked your world. Judaslover would be one- how about -thetalkingass- cainstruckabel -gods4us- hellfire4u. Are christians too dumb to invent such witticisms? Is that left up to us infidels? Fundies, anything to add?

I am one of those people and I am proud of it. I'm not opposed to feeling emotions, and even expressing them from time to time (with a raised eyebrow, a short laugh, or in extreme cases verbally), but I don't want to be ruled by them.

edited to add: I don't think this comes from my love of science fiction, but from my German/Norwegian/Scottish/English heritage. Stiff upper lip, reserve, taciturnity, and all that.
