I tried it twice, but I couldn't seem to get 'high.' I just burned the back of my throat.

Smoked it regularly years ago.
Haven't touched it in almost ten years.

Unless you count the contact high I got while driving to my grandmother's wake with my sister smoking pot right next to me.
Sigh...Never go to a wake stoned.

Joint for dinner, joint for lunch, joint for breakfast and joint for brunch!

Ok, not *that* often, but I do enjoy programming SQL/PHP/Blahblah and rockin' the ganj.

Amen. I hate tobacco, and weed is worse. If I walk by someone who's been smoking a joint I feel like I've had acid poured up my nose and then been hit in the head with a two-by-four.

Same for me, but I only tried it once. I had a singing test the next morning. Learned that lesson fast.

This is post #250, BTW...halfway to "Veteran User" status!

What's so odd about that? I don't know how to acquire illegal drugs, either. I just don't know people that do them. I did attend a couple of parties way back when I was a freshman (this is when I learned that the whole "Greek" system in college is beyond stupid) undergrad. There was some marijuana there. But aside from the obvious (parties; clubs), I have never considered where to obtain the stuff. Nor will I. I've seen what drugs (even "harmless" ones and legal ones) do to people. I've got my caffeine addiction and that's quite enough for me.

Never have, never will, but I applaud the growing Canadian sentiment to have it decriminalized.

Haven't touched the stuff in 20 years. From what I recall it either made me sleepy or paranoid and I never did like it much, I was more of a social smoker. In my day if you didn't smoke pot people thought you were a 'narc'. OTOH I did like LSD and it's similar class of 'mind expanding' chemicals. But haven't done that since college (mid seventies).
