Hi Everyone

I started this thread on another site and it was really interesting, I don't know if this has been done here, probably but thats ok, I thought I would start a thread about us anyways. We can all list 10 random facts about ourselves...Being such a diverse group of people this could be very interesting. And a great way to learn about each other. The facts don't have to be too personal just some trivia about yourself. I will start

1. Voltaire is my favorite writer of all time

2. I eat ice cream everyday even in the winter

3. I have a mortons toe where my second toe is longer than my big toe

4. I was once attacked by a chicken

5. My favorite snack of all time is Dr. Pepper with peanut M&M's

6. I don't know how to whistle

7. I am allergic to portabello mushrooms

8. I am ambidextrous

9. I am most comfortable sitting indian style and I sit like that even at my computer...doing it right now

10. I absolutely love to jump on trampolines for fun...however I think that the olympic sport of trampolining itself is pretty laughable. Why don't they just bring back tug of war or perhaps add leap frog to the olympic events...(no offense to any trampoliners)

6. i just spent US$300 today on my eyes, because my eyesight is deteriorating rapidly, and i need to go back to the optometrists every six months to measure the rate. Looks like im probably going to be blind <literally> by the age of 40 <liberal estimate>. On the upside, ive got some armani frames. on the downside, unless im wearing glasses, i dont know what the frames look like.

8. i really dislike the winking icon on Christian Forums.

9. im starting to run out things to talk about. oh. i recently discovered my goal in life. im going to make enough money to fake my own death <already planned> run away to live in Prague where i will become a hermit and learn many languages and how to play many instruments. although thats all probably a pipe-dream and i'll just end up as a paper-pushing corporate munchkin.

10. there is no 10. im not interesting enough to be allowed to have 10 facets of my personality.

1. I'm a weak atheist (meaning that I do not believe that no gods exist, but merely don't believe that any gods exist).

2. I hold no beliefs whatsoever regarding the existence of supernatural beings.

3. I'm a graduate student in Mathematics at North Dakota State University.

4. My area of Mathematics is Commutative Ring Theory--specifically Factorization in Integral Domains.

5. I submitted my first paper to a journal just a couple of weeks ago. All I have to do is cross my fingers for...oh...at least 14 more weeks now?

6. I have another paper that's almost ready to be sent out, and material enough for 1-2 papers after that.

6. In addition to mathematics, I also enjoy computer games, role-playing games, and the internet (especially spending waaaay too much time here at II )

7. I didn't know that trampolining was an Olympic sport.

8. Unless it's martial arts related, I have absolutely no interest in sports.

9. I studied Tae Kwon Do for 6 1/2 years, and got my first degree black belt (well, it wasn't a traditional TKD class, it was very ecclectic...we did lots of different things from different styles (ie lots of joint locks, grappling, kumdo, trapping/destructions, etc).

10. I retired from the martial arts a few years ago, because I haven't been able to find anyone in Fargo who both knows what they're doing and is safe to train with (and also because school is keeping me extremely busy).

11. I'm wondering about the following: Did you start a thread in the Biblical Criticism & Archaeology forum about the supposed "global flood" as described in the bible, only to leave it? If so, why did you leave?

1. I have to put up with Primemover for at least 20 hours a week.

2. Funniest thing, when I stick my finger in a light socket, my hair stands on end.

3. I am a photographer. I have more cameras than I could ever need, and use them all the time to take photographs of anything I can. Then I do absolutely nothing with them.

4. I spend more money on photography than any one person should.

5. I don't own a computer. Which is the main reason for my pathetic post count. Since I can use either the school's or work's computers, I see no need to buy one of my own at this time.

6. I am in a wonderful relationship that is going on two years. We complement each other: I'm just strange, and my girlfriend is obviously a nut for staying with me.

9. I have a strange habit of abandoning useful job skills. I change jobs on a whim, and don't pursue skills I have learned to my benifit. For example, I can rig, pack, and repair almost any type of parachute. But do I go and get a job doing this, making more money than I would now? No...

10. And I, too have that weird toe thing.
