Also from the TCCSA Science Fair Site:

Quote:
Five things to remember:
1. Know your material.
2. Be Confident.
3. Communicate well.
4. Be thorough.
5. Pray your exhibit will witness to non-Christian visitors.
They forgot number 6...to also pray that no evil atheists who are more knowledgeable of your topic show up.

I fail to see how anyone could go through the scientific process they list above that, and still be a believer in their project, much less the bible.

On a second reading, I wonder if they'd allow failed experiments in. It does say:

Quote:
III. Research. Gather information and plan your experiment that will prove or disprove your hypothesis.
So if you go in trying to prove the flood happened, or the earth is 6000 year old, or that having thousands of creatures on a single craft made of wood is remotely feasible, and find it isn't true, would they allow it? After all, it's all about learning, right?

Heavy, Hot, and Humid.
Partly mythical, with a 100% chance of bullshit.

84. What events caused them to become evolutionists?
That question has been answered in another thread: We have fathers who are "missing, dead, weak or abusive."

53. Were all the animals friendly to man before the Flood? Idea: raise several baby animals like snake and mouse together to see if they remain friends as they are older.
I wonder if the kid gets a F when the snake eats the mouse.

Quote:
72. What is God made of?
Oh yeah! I'd like to see the kid who takes this one on! The kid would be getting a freakin' Nobel for his school project!

I'm still trying to see how this is remotely feasible. Probably got first place too...

And why does it seem all creationism sites have dinosaurs of some shape or form on them? They must assume that people see a T-rex and think, oh, must be real science here!

Alien refers to any foreigner. In the later half of the 20th century, we have co-opted it into meaning any entity foreign to our planet. The usage prior to that time however, was foreigner, e.g. Alien and Sedition Acts of 1797 (or around then).

My "favorite" ones:
Quote:
11. Make an experiment to show how Boyle's law applies to nebula.
It does--however, this strange thing called GRAVITY does too, and it has a larger force than the force by Boyle's. Hence, it contracts.
Quote:
13. Do Lilydale closed clam fossils support a world wide flood? Collect 100 shells and compare.
That works real well moron.
Quote:
14. Can salt water and fresh water fish live in the same water or not?
When the fish die, does the kid fail?
Quote:
15. How long can flies survive freezing in a frig?
Real Christian of them. Torturing lower animals to prove the Flud is Troo.
Quote:
18. Is intelligence influenced by physical attributes. i.e. are blondes "dumb" or does skin color influence intelligence?
Being Christian somehow seems to have an effect.
Quote:
22. Could a person function without thumbs? or What would it be like to not have thumbs?
Here Johnny, this will only hurt for a second.
Quote:
24. Why do we feel cold when it is 30 degrees in the Fall but in the February 30 degrees seems warm?
Because in October, the mean temperature is around 50-60. In February, it's closer to 20. Gee, wonder why?
Quote:
26. Is energy ever destroyed or created?
Conservation of matter and energy is a law of physics. Guess that answers that one. Do I get my first place ribbon?
Quote:
33. Why is hair thicker on the head than the rest of the body?
To an evolutionist, the answer is easy: we lost it!
Quote:
41. Is everything, including non-living things, made of cells?
No. Look at metal.
Quote:
36. Why is snow 6 sided?
37. Why does liquid water turn to a solid at 32 degrees F.?
Motion slows, and it begins to settle into the only patterns the shape of the water molecules can--hexagons.
Quote:
50. Why is blood blue in our veins but turns red when we are cut? If we are cut in a vacuum would the blood stay blue?
Our blood *isn't* blue--the veins are. Un-oxygenated blood is a deeper red instead of a nice vibrant red.
Quote:
61. What is light? Do Young's light experiments of 1800 which proves light is a wave. (see Space Medium, Barnes, 1986. p.126)
Light is a particle travelling at high velocity, thereby having an associated wavelength with it like all matter.
Quote:
70. How do mice react after 24 hours of confinement? What about other animals?
Torturing animals, how fun.
Quote:
74. What happens to eyes so you need glasses? Did God design them poorly?
Or maybe there is no designer...
Quote:
95. Are humans mammals? We thought they were made in God's image and not related to animals.
:banghead:
Quote:
114. What shape is outer space?
:banghead: :banghead:

Goddamn these idiots.

Say, is that a camo tablecloth underneath that ark?

PS: Looks like you could fit at least 50 large animals on that ark...

Quote:
16. How can you tell if animals are color blind?
Ask them to find a blue flower with red berries.

Quote:
19. Can a dog run a maze faster than a gerbil?
Who the hell cares?

Quote:
27. What happens to garbage in a land fill?
Nothing. With no air, there is no way for anything to decompose.

Quote:
37. Why does liquid water turn to a solid at 32 degrees F.?
This is actually a very good question. However, I don't think they know why. First you could go into the abnormally high melting point of water because of the hydrogen bonding. In addition, the exact reason why its about 300 Kelvin to melt would be nice to diagram the whole issue. But they are probably looking for a god references and that snow is only mentioned twice in the Bible.

Quote:
38. Why can't we see air?
Except in the cities where it has a real nice brown tinge,

Quote:
55. Why do only mammals have hair?
Because that is how they divided them into mammals.

Quote:
58. Why did God create the moon to control the tides?
I think I'm going to vomit. And kiddies, don't forget, 1/3 of the tidal forces comes from the sun.

Quote:
92. Why do some animals lay eggs and others bare babies alive? Why did God do it this way?
Are you supposed to get God's word on that?

Quote:
103.Where was the Garden of Eden? Is it around today?
Oh, that's simple. It's in the east, Genesis 2:8.

No wait! It's in the north, Genesis 2:10-14

No wait! It's in the west, Genesis 3:24.

And of course its around today. A flaming sword is protecting it with Cherubim.

Quote:
109. Why does earth (dirt) crumble in your hand but is hard when you walk on it?
As a geotechnical engineer, that whole earth (dirt) thing erks me. Its soil! Its called soil! And the question should be, how come when your father got the car stuck in the earth (soil), why could you still walk on it?

And we were all concerned about Creationism in science class...
