Default Is Iraq a current threat to you and me?

Please give a yes or no answer than explain the reason for your answer.

My answer is NO.

The only thing he has done in the past 12 yrs is invade Kuwait. So if that is considered a threat to the world than the U.S. who has invaded more, and killed more innocent civillians in it's war to get a pipeline in afghanistan would be more of a threat than Iraq is.

And if he is a threat because of what weopons he might have then again, the U.S. which spends more than any other country and more percentage than any other country on weapons, sells mor weapons to dictators and uses them more than anyone would have to be a bigger threat according to this logic also.

I don't see any reason that he is any more of a threat than any other country that is ruled by a current and or former U.S. puppet and beneficiary.

Before the (gassing his own people) crocodile tears begin to shed by the rightwingnuts on the board I would like to remind them that Iraq was being funded by the U.S. when it was gassing it's own people.

Nope. Why? Oh, I dunno, maybe that they are a third world country with no means to even make a dent in America's military might? Why should I be afraid of people who can barely feed their children?

They could feed their children without the trade bans currently on them.

Is Iraq a current threat to me? No. Will events which Iraq could instigate in the Middle East effect me negatively? Possibly. Probably not. Should Iraq be stopped for environmental, and humanitarian reasons? Yes. Do I support a war in Iraq? Yes. Do I support Canadians and Americans going to war in Iraq and dieing? Yes. Do I mind that civilians will die? No. Do I think the end result from an invasion would be beneficial to most parties involved? Yes. And finally, do I really want some fruit juice right now instead of continueing to write inane questions? YES.

My answer is NO. [/B]

Well, my answer is no, also. However, consider that a small malignant melanoma is no current threat, either.

Prepositioned chemical or bio weapons. They could be a tremendous threat without a single gun and without hurting a single soldier.

maybe...

US officials quoted by The New York Times say the deputy revealed that Zarqawi was operating a cell out of Iraq, that he had been given medical assistance there and that he was planning and conducting attacks across Europe and the Middle East with up to 24 al-Qa'ida fighters. Mr Foley, 62, head of America's Agency for International Development mission, was the first of the cell's targets.
definitely maybe...
