Angry The Liberation Lie!

Why is Bush allowed to get away with lying about WMD's by using yet another lie to justify the war? As you know, we are now being told by the Bush administration and pro-war hawks that even if WMD's are never found, the war is justified because we have liberated the people of Iraq. In other words, the ends justified the means. However, regardless of whether one agrees with an "ends justifies the means" rationale, the fact remains that even this "post war" rationale for the war is based on a lie!

The truth is that at least 3,240 civilians (see link #1) and perhaps as many as 7,216 innocent civilians have been killed (see link #2). Many thousands more have been injured or have seen loved ones killed. Iraqi women are being raped and forced to wear viels by Islamic fundamentalists who have claimed power since Saddam's fall.(See link #3) Children are suffering on Baghdad's streets.(See link #4) Iraqi nuclear facilities are being looted by Iraqi citizens who have no idea about the hazardous nature of nuclear materials. (See link #5). Iraqi children continue to be killed by our cluster bombs.(See Link #6). Finally, the "liberated Iraqi people" are being forbidden to criticize their "liberators." (See link #7). If that's what you call liberation than I would certainly hate to see oppression!

My mother always told me not to lie because if you do you will only have to tell more lies to cover up your previous lies. When will the American finally realize President Bush is just covering up past lies with present lies?
