I'd also say that no insult was intentionally implied. I think that you may be reading insult where none was intended.

Thanks, yeah I got his PM. His first PM he was hostile because I accused him of deleting it, I was told I should learn more before throwing around accusations. He did not like what I had to say in the first CF thread. He went on to say "If I deleted your thread you'd know it".

Then more than a week later I got the PM from him saying he *did* in fact trash it. If it was an honest mistake ok, but damn. That first PM from him pissed me off...I guess because I did not think it was necessary for him or anyone for that matter to PM me at CF about what I was posting here.
aww well such is life...

Sulphur I hope you are well my friend. I miss talking to ya.

And hi to everyone else in this thread. Even pz. Hope all is well with everyone.

I personally don't think theists should moderate this place. Thats just my opinion though...

OK. Just so we're clear that opposition to such a move can be a matter of principle. Insecurity isn't part of the equation.

Yup, this road goes both ways... perhaps one should "learn more {about the situation they caused} before throwing around accusations" that one needs to "learn more" and is just "throwing around accusations", huh?

I'm a little ticked off that the "bugs" thread was closed. We had just learned a little about "automatic notices" (than can be turned off, so they aren't quite automatic, are they?). Well, I guess anything that anyone has to say on the subject isn't worth looking into. So much for "bugs, questions & help".

For some. I don't think that anyone would accuse you of insecurity

I too was disappointed that my thread was closed. I was going to post both of his PM's here but then I figured that would take me to an alltime low and they are private messages after all. So let me just paraphrase

I recall Gunny when you first became a moderator at CF a bunch of things were deleted without notices, I do hope you do not opt to disable your automatic notification since I have learned it is an option.
I wonder how seebs is going to like being a moderator over there since Erwin made him one. I think thats a great thing, he'll do a lot of good there me thinks...

Love you too.

Funny thing, when my non-Christian daughter says, "I love you Mom", I never question whether she is capable of expressing love.
I feel it.

Re: theist mods here

I only brought that up because I felt that ShabbyChick was implying that non-theists could only be treated fairly by non-theists, so I was turning that around to get her reaction and went a bit overboard.

I have no problems with the moderation here (for the extreme majority), and am not in any way advocating or hinting that theists should be mods here. It's your board, and you can and do make the rules as well as apply them fairly.

I use to think if people did not believe in God they couldnt love. Seriously. I know it sounds absurd now however I do recall a nun telling me atheists were "God haters" and from there I was told "if one cant love god they cant love anything or anybody not even themselves."

Thats what she taught. sad but true

Don't I know it. Arrogance, on the other hand...
